History of Surf Island

In 2008 summer I was standing next to Vaszil (who is the owner of the wakeboard center in Siófok-Szabadifürdő, and a very good friend of mine) when I came up with the idea that we should extend the services of the wakeboard park with a windsurf school. We are lucky because the wakeboard center already had the perfect infrastructure we just had to integrate the windsurf station on the island. With my other good friend, Andras Marton we quickly planned the services of the Island and started to look for the best windsurf beginner and intermediate equipments to be able to offer the best quality services for every our guests. Andris who is one of the best freestyle windsurfer in Hungary used to work in Aruba as a windsurf instructor and there he could learn how a professional windsurf school works and how to bring the Caribbean feeling to our Surf Island. In the Surf Island windsurf school our aim is to provide a friendly, surfer atmosphere and help you to get closer to the windsurfing and spend your vacations in an active way on the Lake Balaton.
